Scieszka Talked His True Stories

November 30, 2008

I first read Jon Scieszka’s books when I was a college student. At that time I often took my little sister (12 years younger) to my favorite bookstore, where had a large collection of children books. My little sister and I both loved Scieszka’s works, especially The Stinky Cheese Man (I think I enjoyed it more than my sister :) ).

Scieszka’s the most recent book, called Knucklehead, is an autobiography for young readers, telling his stories about growing up.

Listen to this NPR weekend edition, where Mr. Scieszka talked about his childhood and his writing. You can also read the excerpts there.
