The Success of Amazon’s Kindle
Well, I have to admit that Kindle does pretty well. So far, it’s “Yes” to “A Promising Future for eBook Reader?“. Despite some disappointments (missing features in Kindle or/and missing titles in ebooks), it’s really easy to carry several books with you in a device like Kindle. It does have its charms: easy to try/buy titles, having the most titles in the ebook-device market.
I spend quite a lot in buying books and most of the money is paid for the shipping. Though I still like to read with a book in my hand, I don’t mind reading in a device like Kindle. However, not reading a PDF file in a laptop. It’s not really comfortable to lie on the bed holding a 15” MacBook Pro.
If Amazon can include more titles into Kindle format, more book-buyers would love to try this not-so-cheap device. Even an outsider like me. 😐
