Biking down the World’s Most Dangerous Road

August 10, 2008

Some of the photos in this slideshow, “Bolivia’s Extremes” caught my attention. They are about mountain biking in Bolivia; more precisely, on the road so called “The World’s Most Dangerous Road”.

(from Gravity Assisted Mountain Biking)

That looks exciting, doesn’t it? According to Gravity Assisted Mountain Biking, it’s about 2,000m descent from snow-covered high altitude plains (3600+m) down to the steaming Amazonian Jungle (1000+m). The trip consists of 64 km (40 miles) of downhill riding, about 90% of the trip, with only a few small uphills and flat bits.

Hmm… thinking about doing this once in a lifetime.😛
