BetterWorld for Book Buyers

May 31, 2008

I noticed this seller through the site like Abebooks.com last summer but didn’t buy their books there before. Then for some reason, I googled it and found its web site, where it offers a very cheap international shipping charge ($3.02, including the carbon neutral fee). I didn’t jump into buying immediately. But an article published in New York Times, “SHORT CUTS; New Ways to Do It Make Giving Away Books a Bit Less Painful“, made me try it out.

The result? I’ve become one of their satisfied customers. As I mentioned before, the international orders are shipped via Malmö, so it takes longer, say normally 3 weeks in my case. As compared with Amazon’s standard airmail shipping (10-14 days, including weekend), the delivery time is all right. Once I even got the book less than two week. 😀

It’s a great place to buy used books. For new books, the price is also reasonable when you consider the shipping cost. Currently they’re offering a 15% discount (coupon code “BWREFRESH”) for the new look of their web site, which will expire on June 1st, 2008. Still have some time to go, considering the time difference.

Thanks wildeny! We try our best to provide for our number of international customers.

Btw, I’ll be there for Firefox download day but as a fixed gear/city bike rider I won’t be doing the Tour in a day any time soon… yikes!

Thanks again for the shout out.

    Best,
    Jack
