Nikon – My Picturetown

October 11, 2007

Just received an email from Nikon about its new photo sharing and storage site, myPicturetown.com. Here you can register for a free account of 2 GB in storage or opt to 20 GB free until March 1, 2008. Hmm, that sounds tempting. 🙂

As I mentioned before when compared photo sharing sites, Google’s Picasa Web Album is good for me because it provides me 1 GB of storage size. Now Nikon’s myPicturetown doubles the storage size! There, you can wireless upload your photos via some selected Nikon models, eg. COOLPIX s50c and s51c, apply tags on your photos or album just like in other sites. You can share your photos in your blog or webpage, and even better, you can post them to your Flickr achieve.

Great, isn’t it? Well, there’s a catch. Currently the service is only provided in US and in Japan, and that Flickr feature is only available in US. Never mind, you can still try it out. 😉
