Madeleine L’Engle, Writer of Children’s Classic Died at 88
Madelein L’Engle, writer of more than 60 books, including children literature and science fiction etc., died on Sep. 6th in Connecticut at the age of 88.
She was best known for her children classic, “A Wrinkle in Time”,
which was published in 1962 after 26 rejections by publishers. But the book later went on to receive several awards, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
