Modify Google Notebook Add-on for Firefox 3.5

Well, finally it’s time to face this problem. I installed Firefox 3.5 on MacBook Pro yesterday, and this is one of the add-on issues for Firefox (the other is Lifehacker’s better Google service add-ons). Should I go back to try these Google Notebook Alternatives? Well, I did and will come back later. But this time, the problem in Google Notebook add-on is easy to solve according to this post:

• Use 7-zip to open “google-notebook.xpi“. You need to save this link somewhere.
• Edit “install.rdf” and replace “3.0.*” with “3.5.*”.
• Save the file and installed the modified add-on.

The quick way is to download the modified extension directly. [Remove the direct link as requested].

So, you can still use Google Notebook if you don’t want to make the switch yet (well, I’m still thinking ).
