Web Mashup – Ubiquity

Mozilla Labs introduces a new prototype called Ubiquity, which provides a natural way for connecting the web services. No idea of what this is about? See this introduction video using email as an example.

See? Now adding some information from other web services into your email becomes a simple & speedy task.

With this Firefox tool, Ubiquity lets you

  • Type what you want the browser to do
  • Remix the Web to match what you need

It is kind of like the browser version of Launchy or Quicksilver (I just started to try Launchy in my office PC). Already in Firefox you can use some hot keys or keywords for various tasks (in bookmarks & search bars etc). But Ubiquity puts things in a further step. I look forward to trying this some time later. :D

I too tried it yesterday and found it quite useful. I am sure that it will revolutionize the way web tasks are performed. See my post on it.
