A Quick Way to Quote a Web Page

December 27, 2007

It’s very simple. Just add kwout bookmarklet to your browser (say, Firefox’s bookmarks toolbar) .

  1. Click at it when visiting a web page you want to quote.
  2. Select an area and click “Cut Out” button. The area will be saved as an image with persevered links.
  3. Post the embed code to your web site, Flickr, or Tumblr.

Here is the cut-off image of kwout.

Note: Though it saves the work to upload to an image host, it doesn’t work with flash. For that, you still need the traditional method.
